Coming into our 9th year at our first new location in 7 years, our
chairman decided to actively design a new mascot and find an artist to
bring her to life. A basic concept was made and submitted to a
number of artists privately. Artists were selected based on art
style and potential to create a great design. In the end, our new
artist, jasmine Pharr, was selected to provide Anime Oasis with our new
mascot. Chiara was designed to be cute and fashionable in a way that had a similar feel to the anime convention atomosphere. Her simple, yet stylish outfit gives her that not too complex look with the power to stand out from those around her. She is accompanied by a northwest pika named "Pikan".
