How many people are expected?

I'm new to the area and heard about it from a friend, and I'm interested in going to the con, but could someone tell me about how many people are expected to show up? Thanks a whole lot :3

Last two years had (I believe) over 650 paid attendees (which is why is has moved to the Grove Hotel from the Holiday Inn).

It is hoped that attendence will be over 1000.

We expect between 1700 and 2500, with my personal estimate in the 2100 range.
Past years attendance has been artificially smothered to fit our old venue.

We have taken steps to ensure we are ready for 3000 in case our estimates are weak.

To expect pre-registration to have already exceeded previous number is unrealistic at this point. Having been pre-reg only for a number of years may have distorted expectations of pre-reg.
